Seki no Mamebansami - Hasegawa Cutlery A small pair of bean scissors created by skilled craftsmen established in 1933 in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, known for being one of Japan's foremost cutlery towns.
This cute and sharp bean scissors were born out of the playful spirit of a long-established scissor manufacturer, challenging themselves to create the smallest and best-cutting scissors possible.
The tiny tassel made of silk thread is meticulously crafted by Imazato-san, a specialist in tassels and knots established in the Meiji era (around 1907) in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
The delicate craftsmanship of the artisans shines through, resulting in beautifully finished tassels.
